Yes. The £250 deposit holds one of 10 founding slots and locks £2,995. It's deducted from your balance and refundable at any point before your image ships. The balance is due only on ship.
What happens after the founding 10 are gone?
The founding cohort closes and Axiom OS opens at the £3,995 list price. The count above is real — when it hits zero, the founding price is genuinely gone. No fake timers, no rolling "early bird".
Do I need to be a Linux expert?
No — that's the point. The OS is opinionated and preconfigured so a non-Linux-expert founder can boot it and start building. If something breaks, an atomic rollback puts it right.
How is this different from DHH's Omarchy / an opinionated distro?
We admire that lineage — opinionated curation as the product. Axiom OS adds an immutable base with signed, auto-rollback updates, the human-centered Axiom engine and its verify gate built in, and someone accountable for the update channel. It's a supported product for founders, not a personal config you maintain yourself.
